"Welcome to 'The Mind Body Foundation - Counselling Center,' my private practice dedicated to providing consultations on mental health.

I specialise in providing psychotherapy for adults aged 21 and older. My focus is on supporting individuals who are grappling with a variety of mental health challenges, including emotional regulation, overthinking, struggles with self-esteem and self-confidence, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, feeling stuck / overwhelmed, and complex PTSD.

How I work
I use a trauma-informed approach to understand people in their life situations.
In my work, I blend methods to assist clients in unraveling issues tied to their thoughts, actions, and feelings.

My working methodology

In my practice, I take an integrative approach to help my clients untangle their life problems rooted in Thoughts, Behaviors, and Emotions.

Over the years, my working style has evolved to look at the multitudes people carry. I approach my work through a trauma- informed lens which allows me to understand people in the context of their lives. 

Some of the therapies I use in my work

Trauma-informed
Understanding the struggles of an individual in the context (micro & macro systems) of their lived experiences - wounds encountered and support available, and how it has impacted the nervous system. Facilitating change sensitively to resist re-traumatization.
 
Attachment Theory and Relational Approach
Looking at the quality of relationships one has experienced in their life. Exploring how these experiences have left imprints that continue to influence one’s relationship with themselves and others.

Depth-oriented
This involves exploring the unconscious and bringing to light parts of the self that have been hidden and integrating them over time. 
 
Somatic therapy
Working at a body and nervous system level to help understand and navigate imprints of experiences of the past that are held in the body. Here, we work with the sensations, and emotional energy of the past held in the body and empower the client to regulate and move through emotions and sensations.
